What we don’t do

We’re Driller Queens, not Jacks-of-all-trades.

We’re totally capable of nailing most repair requests, but we respect the law and our insurance, so it doesn’t mean we (legally) can!

In Germany, there are many ‘protected’ trades, such as plumbers and electricians, where you need a license to operate. We don’t currently have either of those experts on our team, so take note of our current Sorry-Not-Sorry Task List:

  • We can carry out small plumbing tasks such as attaching sinks, taps, washing machines and dishwashers. For more involved work we have some awesome people we can recommend.

  • While we’re happy to light up your life in more ways than one, some tasks require a certified electrician. We’ll say no to:

    - The big stuff: heavy currents (ovens/hobs), heating and gas, wiring behind walls, repairing appliances

    - Lighting: recessed spotlights, dimmer switches

  • - Furniture Assembly:

Wardrobes, beds, and other large items from Otto, Poco, Home24, etc. (These companies offer their own fairly priced assembly service.)

    - Load-bearing Items: For your safety, we cannot install anything designed for children to climb on / support a human from the ceiling of an Altbau (these can be crumblier than your fave Apfelstrudel!).

    - Installation or removal of flooring, skirting, wallpaper, and ceiling fans

    - Door or window repair (including locks)

    - Furniture/rubbish/waste removal
